Sierra Vista Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Mignonne Hollis has been asked to serve on the US Global Leadership Coalition’s (USGLC) Arizona Advisory Committee. The USGLC is a broad-based influential network of 400 businesses and non-governmental organizations, military, faith-based and civic leaders united in support of US global engagement. The coalition is active across the country and includes such organizations and businesses as Lockheed Martin, Google, Caterpillar, Catholic Relief Services, Cocoa-Cola, GE, Mercy Corps, Microsoft, RTI International, Save the Children, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
This initiative brings together top leaders who embrace the importance of US global leadership that strengthens our national security and bolsters Arizona’s economy. Academia, business, and government have a shared role in building a better, safer world. USGLC is working to make the smart power tools of development and diplomacy a keystone of America’s ability to advance our national security interests abroad, as well as, better compete in the global marketplace.
Ms. Hollis will serve alongside such leaders as University of Arizona President Ann Weaver Hart, Greater Phoenix Economic Council President Chris Camacho, The Boeing Company State Local Government Operations Manager Mark Gaspers, Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Lea Marquez-Peterson, and Arizona State Senate Honorable Bob Worsley.
